Feeder Finance Weekly Update — A Week of Optimization
TL;DR
- Core contract testing of the lending platform +90% complete; working through additional functionalities like loan marketplace, collateral vaults, etc. In aggregate, we’re at 55%-60%, with timelines still looking secure.
- Social DeFi is still in QA with another turn Monday; went through internal front-end testing over the weekend; hoping to launch early next week.
- Portfolio Upgrade met some hurdles, but optimizations were pushed through that would speed up the loading.
- Multiple minor updates pushed from utilization rate, Search page, Sidebar quick link, and the ‘Back’ button remembering search/filter settings.

Expect to see more TAROT vaults done next week before the team shifts gears back over to BSC for a bit. We have a couple of community suggestions coming in and will be looking into those!
Development Updates
New Lending Product: We’ve reported that 90% of the core contract has been completed and is undergoing testing. We’re moving further along on that and are also working on the other significant pieces like collateral vaulting, marketplace, and other mechanics.
In aggregate, we think we’re roughly 55% there but are essentially still on the timeline for our submission to PeckShield.
Social DeFi: We’ve already begun internal front-end testing over the weekend, and there are more minor details to be resolved on the mechanic and front-end sides. A lot of time was spent on the optimization piece, and so we couldn’t get this resolved in time for a launch this week as planned.
Our expectation is for a fix to be complete by Monday, and we should be good to go.
Portfolio Upgrade: The focus was optimization more so than the work on the upgrade this week, but we’ve made progress:
- The post-deposit delay has been minimized
- Backend code structure revised and much more lightweight; even faster loading
On the upgrade front where the focus is the “Price Tool”, the complexity has increased. Unlike SpookySwap or SpiritSwap that allows proper reading of historical values, Pancake does not have this readily available. To overcome this, Rafael is working on some custom codes.
Note: Price Tool = Price and LP historical data aggregation into databases which allows us to pull from to create the calculations and front-end of many upgrades and new features to come.
Other Minor Updates
- Backend Optimization: While not yet fully complete we’ve implemented multiple optimization measures that would allow the portfolio to function even in times of network stress. The speed and efficiency have been greatly improved. Based on our work, it is rare that all nodes will be down (it has happened before though) and therefore our backend, as next steps, will be optimized to health check and select the node in the best condition to perform.
- Product Info: Utilization Rate. We’ve added ‘Utilization Rate’ for all direct lending products on our platform. Remember that lending product APY is directly driven by how much of the pool is being utilized; if too high, it may not sustain.
- Search Page: FTM Update. We’ve added the ‘Earn with FTM’ quick search and ‘Available on BSC & FTM’ on the search page to make our multi-chain presence more light.
- Sidebar: Quick Link to Staking/Farming/Invest. It’s been a long-time community suggestion to click the sidebar ‘Account’ items to jump straight to those sections. That is now complete!
- Keeping Searched/Filtered Settings when hitting ‘Back’. This is a noticeable improvement that has been suggested for some time. As our product variety and options grew, inputting all the search and filters again every time a product is selected is painful, you don’t have to do that anymore!
